About SkillFit

SkillFit is MultiMatch’s coach/trainer-led movement and fitness program for children aged 2–17.

The program combines age-appropriate movement games, sport-supported skills, strength, balance, coordination, agility, body control, fitness, decision-making and teamwork. Sessions may also include interactive technology and equipment such as projection games, reaction lights, balls, mats and agility equipment.

SkillFit is designed to help children explore movement, build confidence and develop a broad foundation for active participation. Coaches use progressive activities and adapt challenges to suit each child’s age, experience, confidence and disclosed needs.

SkillFit is not medical treatment, physiotherapy, diagnosis or a therapy program. Participation does not guarantee a particular sporting, fitness or health outcome.

Acknowledgement of Risks

I acknowledge that participation in SkillFit involves inherent risks associated with physical activity, movement, sport-supported games and interactive equipment.

These risks may include, but are not limited to:

• slips, trips, falls and loss of balance;

• awkward landings or changes of direction;

• collisions with equipment, walls, screens, targets, netting, mats, floors or other participants;

• being struck by or mishandling balls, props or other equipment;

• running, jumping, crawling, balancing, throwing, catching, kicking, pushing, pulling or lifting;

• muscle soreness, sprains, strains, bruising, fractures, concussion or other head injuries;

• physical exertion, fatigue, overheating, dehydration, dizziness or fainting;

• aggravation of a pre-existing injury, illness or medical condition;

• sensory or emotional effects associated with noise, lighting, screens, competition, frustration or a busy environment;

• temporary interruption, malfunction or unexpected change involving interactive technology or equipment; and

• serious injury or illness in rare circumstances.

I understand that MultiMatch takes reasonable steps to provide a safe environment, including age-appropriate activities, coach supervision, safety instructions, equipment checks, suitable progressions, activity modifications and opportunities for rest and hydration.

I understand that it is not possible to eliminate every risk associated with physical activity.

I acknowledge these risks and voluntarily accept them on behalf of my child.

Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.

Medical Declaration

I declare that:

• my child is medically able to participate in the planned SkillFit activities, or I have disclosed any relevant limitations;

• I have disclosed all known medical conditions, allergies, injuries, medications, disabilities, access requirements, neurodivergence, sensory needs or behavioural support needs relevant to participation;

• I will provide clear instructions about any emergency response or medication requirements;

• I will immediately notify MultiMatch staff of any change in my child’s health or circumstances that may affect participation;

• the emergency contact details supplied are current and accurate;

• I understand that MultiMatch coaches are not medical practitioners and cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions; and

• I consent to MultiMatch collecting, storing and using relevant health information for participant safety, emergency response, program administration, communication and insurance purposes.

If I am unsure whether my child should participate, I understand that I should seek advice from an appropriate health professional before the session.

Behaviour, Inclusion and Safety

I understand that participants are expected to:

• follow reasonable instructions from coaches/trainers and MultiMatch staff;

• use equipment only as instructed;

• behave safely and respectfully towards other participants, families, coaches and staff;

• respect personal space and the studio environment; and

• tell a coach if they feel unwell, uncomfortable, injured or unsafe.

MultiMatch aims to provide an inclusive, supportive and child-safe environment. Coaches will use encouragement, clear boundaries and age-appropriate guidance.

MultiMatch may pause an activity, contact a parent or guardian, or remove a participant from an activity where behaviour creates a safety risk to the participant or others.

A parent or guardian must remain contactable during the session and follow MultiMatch arrival and collection instructions.

SkillFit Equipment and Interactive Technology

SkillFit may use interactive projection, reaction lights, balls, mats, agility equipment, balance equipment, boxes, targets and other training tools.

I understand that:

• equipment must be used only under coach direction;

• children may rotate between stations or activities;

• activities may be modified or stopped if equipment or technology is not operating safely; and

• interactive technology supports the coaching experience but does not replace supervision or instruction.

MultiMatch Policies and Procedures

Participants and parents or guardians agree to follow MultiMatch’s applicable terms, safety procedures, child-safety requirements, code of conduct, privacy policy, complaints process and reasonable directions from staff.

These policies may include requirements relating to:

• child safeguarding;

• respectful behaviour and inclusion;

• participant supervision;

• photography and video;

• privacy and information handling;

• incident reporting; and

• safe use of equipment and technology.

Emergency Medical Treatment

In the event of illness or injury, I authorise MultiMatch and its representatives to:

• administer reasonable first aid;

• contact me or the nominated emergency contact;

• contact emergency services, including 000, where required;

• arrange medical assessment or emergency treatment where reasonably necessary; and

• provide relevant information to emergency services or medical professionals.

I understand that any costs associated with medical treatment, ambulance transport or other healthcare services remain my responsibility.

Session Photos, Video and Program Review

I consent to my child appearing in photographs or video for the internal purposes listed below.​

During SkillFit sessions, MultiMatch will take photographs or video recordings for the following purposes:

• participant or family playback;

• coaching feedback and staff training;

• reviewing session delivery and equipment use;

• program quality improvement; and

• de-identified or aggregated program insights.

Marketing and Publicity Consent

• I consent to photographs or video of my child being used by MultiMatch Cleveland on its website, social media, advertising, promotional materials or other public communications.

I may withdraw this consent by contacting MultiMatch at hello@multimatchcleveland.com.au. Withdrawal will apply to future recordings and does not require MultiMatch to recall material already used in accordance with this agreement.

Future Automated or AI-Supported Tools

This agreement is not blanket consent for the use of artificial intelligence or automated profiling.

If MultiMatch introduces an automated or AI-supported system that uses identifiable participant information, photographs, video, health information or individual performance data, MultiMatch will provide a separate notice explaining:

• what information is used;

• why it is used;

• who receives or processes it;

• whether information is stored or processed overseas;

• what safeguards and human review apply; and

• what consent or opt-out choices are available.

Any required consent will be obtained before that new use begins.

Insurance

MultiMatch maintains insurance arrangements relevant to its operations, subject to the terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and requirements of the applicable policies.

I understand that insurance coverage is not unlimited and may not cover every injury, loss, cost or circumstance arising from participation.

This agreement does not represent that every participant, activity or circumstance is insured.
